Effect

Bleed is a mechanic of the Barbarian class. Most Warlord skills apply it upon dealing damage.

Gushing Wounds, Cut to the Bone and Blood Thirst talents are specifically designed to enhance Bleed effects.

Bleed is a special form of Damage Over Time in Diablo III and Diablo IV. Generally, its damage type is Physical. Bleed is based on Diablo II Open Wounds effect.

Enemies that are Bleeding suffer damage (as a percentage of weapon damage) over a period of time.

Bleeding is a Status Ailment in Diablo 4. Status Ailments are conditions that can be applied to both Enemies and Players by using Skills, Talents, Weapon Modifiers, Runes, etc. Below you can see a detailed description on what Bleeding does and how to trigger it.

eh, looking further into it, seems the bleed will stack its effect... but the dps won't change... still ticking at the same rate which can be capitalized on with something like rupture. Still a bad design when the game doesn't have ways to increase bleed tickrate

Just found out that if you hit with 2 rends back to back with barbarian the bleed doesn't stack, it resets the bleed duration.... terrible design
