By Three They Come Walkthrough

After completing the Side Quest Turbulent Waters, this Quest will automatically be activated and your objective will be highlighted accordingly. In case you left this next Quest for later, your objective will be at the Plains of Attrition at the Fethis Wetlands.

  • Meet Sev outside Esret

You'll find Sev there down on one knee. Approach her and ask, "Are you alright?" The next objective will be to the west, to The Accursed Ruins of Esret, in the middle of the Fethis Wetlands.

  • Enter the Esret Chapel

Enter the dilapidated chapel and you'll find a hole in the ground. This hole is the entrance to the Dungeon, Halls of Dark Portent. You can find the Dungeon on our Interactive Map here: [Diablo 4 Map Link].

  • Search for Traces of Elias

Inside, you'll be beset by all manner of demons. Be sure to use abilities that hit multiple Enemies at once, and don't let their numbers overwhelm you. The path will mostly be a singular one, until you get stopped by a large door.

  • Break down the door

After you decrease the door's health by about thirty to forty percent, it'll break down and then become untargetable.

  • Slay the ghouls

As if in response to your actions, some ghouls will attack. They'll come in short waves, so just make quick work of them so you can go back to destroying the door.

  • Break down the door

When you deplete the bar down to thirty percent, it'll crumble down further and become untargetable again, as more ghouls try to come at you. Nothing special about the small fries, but two Elite ghouls will show up after you kill them all. These Elites will have a random elemental Affix each, so mind your Life. When they're down, you can go back to hitting the door.

  • Break down the door

Only a few hits left and the door will finally go down completely.

  • Investigate the room beyond

Inside you'll find lots of blood petals, revealing this chamber to be the very place where Elias summoned Lilith back from the void and into Sanctuary.

  • Slay the Blood Echo

A Boss will attack you here, called the Blood Echo. It seems to be exactly like the Blood Bishop. Be sure to keep moving to avoid its energy blasts, and break the small blood orbs before they explode, or just avoid them. When it lifts its tentacle appendages, make sure to move out of the way before it grabs you. For a detailed guide on how to beat the Blood Bishop, visit its Boss page here.

  • Inspect Symon's corpse

After you defeat the Blood Echo, you should be able to find the curate's corpse on the pillar to the northeast. Interact with it to find his journal.

  • Collect Symon's Tattered Journal

Pick up the papers on the ground to collect the journal.

  • Return to Father Dymus

Teleport to the Zarbinzet Waypoint and head to Father Dymus. Talk to Dymus and say, "Symon is dead. His search for knowledge ended in tragedy." He'll express his grief and thank you. This will complete the quest.

Quest NPC mentions about a lady barbarian while the gang was full men. Second, there should have been interactable blood petals that opens the cinematic. I'd like to see that.
