Caltrops is a Rogue Skill in Diablo 4. Caltrops allows Rogues to throw caltrops on the ground that deal damage and slow enemies for 6 seconds.
1. NOTE: Damage increased from 30% to 40%, in Patch 1.0.2d.
2. NOTE: Methodical Caltrop's Chill increased from 20% to 25% in Patch 1.0.3
3. NOTE: Cast Speed has increased by 15%, in Patch 1.1.0a
Caltrops Diablo 4 Information
Caltrops belongs to the Rogue class Skill Tree, and is part of the Agility Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Caltrops Effects in Diablo 4
Caltrops can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Caltrops will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:
Rank 1:
- Damage X [40%]
- Slow Amount 50%
Rank 2:
- Damage X [44%]
- Slow Amount 53%
Rank 3:
- Damage X [48%]
- Slow Amount 57%
Rank 4:
- Damage X [52%]
- Slow Amount 59%
Rank 5:
- Damage X [56%]
- Slow Amount 62%
Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Caltrops
You can Enhance Caltrops to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Caltrops: Enemies in Caltrops take 10%[x] increased damage from you, increased by 5%[x] each second.
After enhancing Caltrops, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Disciplined Caltrops: You have 5% [+] Critical Strike Chance against enemies inside your Caltrops. Double this amount against Vulnerable enemies.
- Methodical Caltrops: Caltrops now deals Cold damage and Chills enemies for 25% per second.
Enhancements and Upgrades are represented by diamond shaped icons in the Skill Tree menu
