Fire DamageFlame Shield is a Sorceress Skill in Diablo 4. Flame Shield engulf yourself in flames for 2 seconds, Burning surrounding enemies for X damage per second. While active, you are Immune.
Flame Shield Diablo 4 Information
Flame Shield belongs to the Sorceress class Skill Tree, and is part of the Defensive Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Flame Shield Effects in Diablo 4
Flame Shield can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Flame Shield will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:
Rank 1:
- Duration
2 - Burning Damage X [40%]
Rank 2:
- Duration 2.1
- Burning Damage X [44%]
Rank 3:
- Duration 2.2
- Burning Damage X [48%]
Rank 4:
- Duration 2.3
- Burning Damage X [52%]

- Duration 2.4
- Burning Damage X [56%]
Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Flame Shield
You can Enhance Flame Shield to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Flame Shield: Flame Shield grants 25% [+] Movement Speed while active.
After enhancing Flame Shield, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Mystical Flame Shield: You gain 25% Mana Cost Reduction while Flame Shield is active.
- Shimmering Flame Shield: Flame Shield heals you for 50% of your missing Life.
Enhancements and Upgrades are represented by diamond shaped icons in the Skill Tree menu
Diablo 4 Flame Shield Enchantment Slot
When a Sorceress completes their Specialization and receives the Enchantment System, they can add Flame Shield to one of the newly available slots. By doing so, they receive the following passive:
Rank 1:
- Flame Shield automatically activates when you take fatal damage. Can only happen once every 120 seconds.
Rank 2:
- Flame Shield automatically activates when you take fatal damage. Can only happen once every 120 seconds.
Rank 3:
- Flame Shield automatically activates when you take fatal damage. Can only happen once every 120 seconds.
Rank 4:
- Flame Shield automatically activates when you take fatal damage. Can only happen once every 120 seconds.
Rank 5:
- Flame Shield automatically activates when you take fatal damage. Can only happen once every 120 seconds.
