Flay is a Barbarian Skill in Diablo 4. Flay is an attack that deals damage to an enemy and also inflicts a bleeding effect that damages them over time. This can be a useful way to chip away at an enemy's health even when you're not actively attacking them.
Flay Diablo 4 Information
Flay belongs to the Barbarian class Skill Tree, and is part of the Basic Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Flay Effects in Diablo 4
Flay can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Flay will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:

Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Flay
You can Enhance Flay to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Flay: Flay has a 10% chance to make the enemy Vulnerable for 2 seconds. Double this chance when using a Two-Handed weapon.
After enhancing Flay, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Battle Flay: When Flay deals direct damage to an enemy, they take 10%[X] increased Bleeding damage from you for the next 3 seconds.
- Combat Flay: When Flay deals direct damage to an enemy, you gain 3% Damage Reduction and 24 Thorns for 3 seconds. This stacks up to 4 times.
