Diablo 4 Forgotten Ruins Walkthrough
Upon entering the dungeon, you are first tasked with killing all enemies within the Archives. Pay attention to the red dots marked on your map indicating the location of each enemy. Once you've slain a certain amount of enemies, a number will appear next to the current objective indicating how many more enemies left you need to kill. Once you've slain all the enemies, go through the door on the left and you'll reach the Study Halls. Upon reaching the area, you are now tasked with finding two Mechanical Boxes and returning them to the Pedestals. Be wary of enemies and traps along the way. You can take advantage of the spiked trap to take out some of the enemies trying to follow you. There's one Mechanical Box located at the western corner of the map, and the other one is located in the room just above the first one. Take note that you can only carry one Mechanical Box at a time, so you need to go back for the other once you've placed on on a pedestal.
The sealed door will open once you place both boxes on the pedestals. Be sure to take out the rest of the enemies before entering the room, it can get overwhelming to fight the Slither and mobs of enemies at the same time, considering this boss already has the ability to summon more enemies to aid them in battle. The Slither doesn't have a lot of moves, but its attack patterns are slightly complicated. It can shoot out poison projectiles from its three heads in a cone trajectory. It can also send out a large moving eyeball and shoot a poison beam toward you, when the eyeball disappears, it will leave a poisonous pool behind that will spawn a Nangari Serpent. Once you defeat the Slither, the dungeon is completed.

Forgotten Ruins Notes & Tips
- Dungeons are instanced domains that offer a sanctuary for brave adventurers. They are thematically related to the region in which they are found, but their layout is randomized. Each Dungeon has its own Boss as well as a related Legendary Aspect that they reward, once completed. Players are also awarded 30 Renown points by completing a dungeon.
