Guardians of the Pit is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Guardians of the Pit can be found at Ragged Coastline, Kehjistan. Heddam in the Ragged Coastline is looking for the Champion of the Tar Pits. Interact with him to help him draw out the Champion. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.
There is a growing threat in the Tar Pits.

Guardians of the Pit Walkthrough
To activate the quest, players will need to locate and interact with Heddam to ask him if there is any trouble. He will be at the eastern part of the encampment. This is best done with the Traces of Iron Side Quest since the objectives for that quest will require you to reach the location of this quest's starting point. Once the quest is activated, you can track the quest, and the objective will update. You will need to slay skeletons to draw out the champion.

You'll need to keep killing skeletons in the area until the bar gets filled up.
- Slay the Champion of the Tar Pits
Once it's all filled up, the Champion of the Tar Pits will show up as an Elite Enemy with the Affixes Fire Enchanted, Explosive, and Summoner. Make sure to try to defeat the Enemies it summons quickly.
- Return to Heldam
When you're done, teleport back to the Iron Wolves Encampment Waypoint. Talk to Heddam and say, "I killed the Champion of the Pits." This will complete the quest.
