Hunting the Relic Hunter is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Hunting the Relic Hunter can be found at Fate's Retreat in the Chambatar Ridge in Dry Steppes. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.
Rahkaan seeks another strange relic for his curio collection.

Hunting the Relic Hunter Walkthrough
Begin the Quest by speaking to Rahkaan in Fate's Retreat. Ask him, "Where is this other relic?" It seems he'd already sent someone to look for it, who is now missing in turn. This will activate the Quest and highlight your next objective location which will be far to the south from where you're currently located, leading to The Accursed Wastes. You can teleport to the Ruins of Qara-Yisu Waypoint if you've already conquered that Stronghold and activated the Waypoint.
- Find the missing Relic Hunter
Talk to Abaan and ask, "Are you Rahkaan's hunter?" He'll explain that he was too scared to continue because of the frozen bodies around the relic.
- Wait for the hunter to investigate
Abaan will approach the relic so you can wait a bit while he investigates. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse probably due to the relic's malevolent power.
- Slay the skeletons
Two Skeleton Archers and a Skeleton Corpse Axe will emerge from the frozen corpses. After you deal with them, one more each will emerge, along with two Skeleton Captains, as well as Abaan, now an Undead Relic Hunter.
- Defeat the remaining skeletons
He'll be an Elite with a single fire-type affix. Deal with the smaller ones first before focusing on him, or spam abilities that hit multiple Enemies at once.
- Search the Mysterious Pot
As with the previous Quest, you'll have to search the pot which will initiate a channeling time. You might have to deal with Enemies who try to disrupt you.
- Perform the gesture spell on the relic
After successfully searching the Mysterious Pot, it will break to reveal the Malevolent Relic. Interact with it to start another channeling action to perform the gesture to transfer the relic.
- Speak to Rahkaan
Rahkaan will appear just north of you so go and talk to him. Tell him, "Your hunter was petrified." He'll express his grief a little for losing people to these searches but also shows interest in you. This will complete the quest.
