Hydra is a Sorceress Skill in Diablo 4. Hydra allows Sorceress to summon a 3-headed Hydra for 12.0 seconds. Each head spits fire, dealing damage to Nearby enemies. Maximum 1 active Hydra at a time. 

NOTE: Enchantment Mana threshold has been reduced from 300 to 200 as of Patch 1.1.0a

Hydra Diablo 4 Information

Hydra belongs to the Sorceress class Skill Tree, and is part of the Conjuration Cluster.

Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.

Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.

Hydra Effects in Diablo 4

Hydra can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Hydra will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:

Rank 1:

• Damage X [12%]

Rank 2:

• Damage X [13%]

Rank 3:

• Damage X [14%]

Rank 4:

• Damage X [16%]

Rank 5:

• Damage X [17%]

Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Hydra

You can Enhance Hydra to add the following effects:

• Enhanced Hydra: While Healthy, your casts of Hydra gain 1 additional head.

After enhancing Hydra, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:

• Invoked Hydra: After you Critically Strike, your Hydras gain 30% [+] Critical Strike Chance for 3 seconds.
• Summoned Hydra: Hydra also Burns enemies for an additional 12% of its Base damage dealt over 6 seconds.

Enhancements and Upgrades are represented by diamond shaped icons in the Skill Tree menu

Diablo 4 Hydra Enchantment Slot

When a Sorceress completes their Specialization and receives the Enchantment System, they can add Hydra to one of the newly available slots. By doing so, they receive the following passive:

Rank 1:

• After spending 200 Mana, a 5-headed Hydra spawns for 5 seconds.

Rank 2:

• After spending 200 Mana, a 5-headed Hydra spawns for 5 seconds.

Rank 3:

• After spending 200 Mana, a 5-headed Hydra spawns for 5 seconds.

Rank 4:

• After spending 200 Mana, a 5-headed Hydra spawns for 5 seconds.

Rank 5:

• After spending 200 Mana, a 5-headed Hydra spawns for 5 seconds.
