The Kurast Undercity in Diablo 4 is an intense new multi-stage, time-attack dungeon introduced in Vessel of Hatred, designed for both leveling and late-game item farming.
It becomes available after players complete the main quest Reunion. Talk to Ormus at the Council Chamber (Kurast) to start the quest. He tells you that the undercity is a dak place, and that a council member, called Sihek, is missing. He tasks you with finding him. This event leads to its own chain of Priority Quests.

To make Kurast Undercity available, speak to Ormus after completing Reunion. He will start the quest chain related to the Kurast Undercity. Players can control the type of loot they receive by using Spirit Tributes, which also allow them to adjust the difficulty level. Completing in-dungeon challenges and defeating one of Undercity's new bosses further boosts the quality of rewards.
Entering the Kurast Undercity
Head to the brazier in Kurast, and commune with it to create a Portal that leads directly to the Kurast Undercity
Face powerful Bosses
Traverse the Undercity to reach its District Boss before time runs out. Note that time expiration ends your run.
Afflicted Monsters & Afflicted Structures
Kill Afflicted Monsters and destroy Afflicted Structures to earn time extension bonuses. Granting you extra time while exploring the vastness of the Kurast Undercity
Attunement
Earn Attunement by killing Monster packs and igniting Beacons and Grand Beacons
Attunement Rank & Upgrades
Attunement Rank 1 is required to earn powerful Reward Upgrades. Higher Attunement Ranks further enhance completion rewards.

Committing a Tribute unlocks the ability to define a Bargain to further customize the run's rewards, in exchange for Materials.
