How to complete Light's Refuge in Diablo 4
Light's Refuge can be completed by doing:
- Return the Mechanical Box to the Pedestal: 2
- Travel to Light's Retreat
- Slay Fiend Handler Clark and collect the Handler's Key
- Use the Handler's Key to open the Refuge Door
- Defeat the Knight Council

Diablo 4 Light's Refuge Walkthrough
Upon entering the dungeon, you'll find yourself within Light's Reform. This dungeon is huge with tight rooms and corridors, it is teeming with beasts and knights, so be careful as some areas can be prime spots to be swarmed by monsters, it's best to have a crowd-control skill equipped. In the first area, your first objective is to find two Mechanical Boxes and return them to the pedestals. You will spend a lot of time on the first objective as the first area is huge, and some rooms can make it a hassle to explore. It is also the fact that you can only carry one box at a time during this objective, picking up another box while you have one at hand will make you drop the initial box you carried. Once you've placed both Mechanical Boxes on the pedestals, the sealed door will be unlocked.
Go through the door and make your way to Light's Retreat. For the second area, your next objective is to look for an elite monster called Fiend Handler Clark, slay them, and loot the Handler's Key off its corpse. This elite monster has three buffs under its name, and be wary of other monsters you encounter along the way. Pay attention to your mini-map and look for the skull icon to locate the elite monster. Once you've slain the Fiend Handler Clark and retrieved the Handler's Key, make your way to the Refuge Door marked with the white icon on your mini-map, and use the key to open the door.
Before entering the room, make sure to recover HP if needed by interacting with the Healing Well beside the entrance. Upon entering the room, you'll face off against the Knight Council. This is a three-man boss comprised of the Grand Inquisitor, the Sacred Physician, and the Lord Commander. Each possesses unique abilities and combat styles, with the Grand Inquisitor excelling in close-quarters combat, while the other two bosses wield potent spells. It is advisable to prioritize defeating the spellcasting bosses before engaging the Grand Inquisitor, as their ranged attacks pose a significant threat. Thankfully, the Grand Inquisitor's sluggish movements provide you with an opportunity to outmaneuver them while focusing your attention on the remaining adversaries. Once you've successfully slain all three of them, the dungeon is completed.

- Dungeons are instanced domains that offer a sanctuary for brave adventurers. They are thematically related to the region in which they are found, but their layout is randomized. Each Dungeon has its own Boss as well as a related Legendary Aspect that they reward, once completed. Players are also awarded 30 Renown points by completing a dungeon.
