Diablo 4 Moordaine Lodge Walkthrough

Upon entering the forested hunting grounds leading up to the lodge, you will immediately be assaulted by a set of Wargs and Thorn Beasts. These will make up the majority of opponents you will face throughout this stronghold. Clear the first batch of enemies and then climb the nearby ledge and turn right to reach the center of the area, where the Moordraine Lodge itself can be found.

Step inside the lodge to find the corpse of one of the hunters, surrounded by more beasts. Inspect the corpse and a couple of elite Wargs will then barge in through the back. Defeat them and then leave through the opening they created. You must look for two more hunters throughout the hunting grounds.

From the back of the lodge, defeat the Tainted Wildwood elite and then follow the path west and down a ledge to find the second hunter, surrounded by more beasts. Clear the area and inspect the corpse. This will spawn a lot of enemies, including several elites so be careful! Once they are dealt with, circle around towards the northeast corner of the hunting grounds to find the last hunter's corpse. Make sure you clear the area as inspecting the corpse will not only spawn more enemies, but the Beast of Moordaine as well.

moordaine lodge boss 1 strongholds diablo 4 wiki guideThis beast is the boss of this stronghold and appears to be responsible for the massacre at the lodge and hunting grounds. This initial encounter is cut short once the beast is brought down to 80% Health. It will make an escape towards its lair in the northwest. Pursue the monster and take note of the Wanderer's Shrine along the way.

Moordaine Lodge Boss Fight

Upon entering the Boss arena, keep moving around as the Beast of Moordaine will dive in from above, dealing damage if it connects with you. The initial portion of this fight is fairly straightforward. The beast will have healed to full and you will need to bring it down to 80% once again, after which, the real fight will begin. The beast is revealed to be a Druid in werewolf form and will revert to her human form, Fionnir the Mad Druid for the second phase.

Fionnir 's moveset includes summoning 1-3 cyclones that will move around the arena for a few seconds before dissipating. This move is clearly telegraphed by the formation of wind/dust circles on the ground. After a brief delay, pillars of wind will rush towards the circles from above, forming the cyclones. They appear to have a weak homing function and tend to converge to cover a large area, but are otherwise simple to avoid. Another one of her notable moves is a blast of wind released in a Y-pattern across the arena, with Fionnir as the epicenter. Again, this is clearly telegraphed and can be sidestepped easily.

At around 40% Health, Fionnir will transform into a bear whose lunges are powerful but can be dodged. It will periodically perform a body slam move that releases shockwaves in a starburst pattern across the arena. The move comes out fairly quickly but is once again clearly telegraphed. Watch when the bear rears up and move in between the starburst's prongs. Note that Fionnir can still cast her cyclones in bear form.

Once Fionnir is defeated, return to the Wanderer's Shrine along the path to the boss arena. Interact with it to conquer Moordaine Lodge

Note that completing Moordaine Lodge will also unlock the Twisted Hollow and Ferals' Den dungeons found within the stronghold.
