Diablo 4 Omath's Redoubt Walkthrough
Omath's Redoubt is a fairly straightforward stronghold. The main path into the stronghold is blocked off by debris, but you can enter by climbing a ledge towards the northwest of the entrance.
Once inside, four circular markers will appear on the map, indicating your objective which is to look for clues as to what happened to this place. Along the way, you will be confronted by the Undead, including shambling corpses and banshees. Make your way to each marker while defeating opponents and look for an object to interact with in the environment, which will reveal some backstory on the stronghold. The objects to look for are as follows:
- The corpse of a Slain Kehjistani and the Crumbling Leaflet it drops for the north marker.
- A Rusted Blade embedded in debris for the west marker.
- The corpse of a Slain Zakarumite for the east marker.
- The corpse of another Slain Kehjistani for the south marker.
Each one of these will spawn a group of enemies, including some elites, after interacting with them. After obtaining all four clues, a new marker will pop up near the center of the stronghold, where you will find a petrified corpse holding a Ceremonial Staff. Inspect the staff and the corpse will crumble, revealing a memory where several figures are seen fighting in the stronghold. Realizing the stronghold's walls have been breached, a priestess named Hadar sacrifices herself and her people, performing a powerful spell that devastates the area. Shortly after, her restless spirit will grab the staff and begin the boss encounter.
Omath's Redoubt Boss Fight
High Priestess Hadar is a fairly standard mage/necromancer-type boss who makes liberal use of powerful spells, summoning the undead and teleportation. Some notable moves include a spray of multiple projectiles in front of her which deal heavy damage if you stand right at melee range and they all connect as well as a spell which creates a trail of cascading explosions that travel in a straight line in front of her.
Hadar has two types of teleport spells she uses. One is short-ranged and is easy to track by the appearance of several wisps that fly towards her teleportation location. The second type allows her to teleport anywhere within the stronghold. After performing a long-ranged teleport, she will begin siphoning energies from the area as evidenced by the floating red projectiles which also reveal her new location. Quickly make your way towards her when this happens and deal enough damage to interrupt the ability, otherwise it will result in a deadly nova that will likely kill you instantly.
To summarize, try to remain as close to Hadar as possible while avoiding her spells and when she teleports far away, quickly close the distance and deal as much damage as possible. Do try to clear some of the adds she summons or use lots of AoE attacks as allowing too many of them to live can prove to be overwhelming.
Once Hadar is defeated, make your way to the west and interact with the Wanderer's Shrine to conquer Omath's Redoubt, liberating the stronghold.
Completing Omath's Redoubt will also unlock the Level 48 dungeon Crumbling Hekma, located in the northern section of the stronghold.
