Pilgrimage is a Main Quest in Diablo 4. Pilgrimage can be found at Fractured Peaks. Main Quests are mandatory missions that players must complete in order to finish the storyline and reach the next difficulty level. Main Quests must be done sequentially and are unlocked only after completing the previous Main Quest/s.

Diablo IV Pilgrimage Walkthrough
Meet Vigo by the ruins south of Kor Valar like he said at the end of Kor Valar. Speak to him to learn how the pilgrimage works. After he finishes speaking, head southwest towards the Altar of Purity. On the way, you'll encounter some Bone Warriors, Bone Archers, and a Bone Captain. Defeat or run past them, then climb up to the Altar of Purity.
When you interact with the altar, you'll pick up the Idol of the Faithful. Having this relic on you reduces your vision, a similar effect to if you were blinded, and makes you slightly slower. You'll need to make your way southeast to the Altar of Martyrdom to continue the quest. You'll encounter some Rot Wielders and Ice Clan Impalers on the way there, but you can choose to simply run past them if you have the health for it. At the Altar of Martyrdom, you'll find a few more Rot Wielders, Ice Clan Impalers and an Elite Blight Bringer. Defeat all the enemies in the vicinity, then interact with the Altar of Pestilence to place the relic upon it.
Read from the tablet nearby, then pick the Idol of the Faithful back up. You'll have to make your way southeast once more towards the Altar of Redemption. On the way, you may bump into some Shambling Horrors and Barbed Horrors. Again, you can choose to simply run past them. When you reach the Altar of Redemption, defeat the Shambling Horrors, Barbed Horrors and the Elite Shambling Horror. Interact with the altar, listen to the nearby tablet, then once again pick up the Idol of the Faithful from the altar.
This time, you're going to head northeast towards the Altar at the Anointed Ascent. The path there is a bit longer than the last two, but on the way you'll find a Healing Well that you can replenish your health flasks at. Fleshless Warriors will attempt to stop your ascent. Run past them towards the altar and defeat the Fleshless Warriors, Fleshless Impalers, as well as the Elite Fleshless Abomination by the altar. Once more, place the idol on the altar, read from the nearby tablet, then pick the idol back up for the final time.
You will not be blinded and slowed this time. Head up the winding path northwest towards the Shrine of the Penitent. Fleshless Warriors will appear to stop you. You can't run past the final group of enemies as they will just follow you to the shrine. When you arrive at the shrine, you'll find Vigo praying. Speak to him, and he wishes you luck for your audience with Inarius himself.
The quest will end here, granting you 8,050 XP and 900 Gold. The next quest, Light's Judgement will begin right after.
