Shrines in Diablo 4 are randomly generated objects that grant the player who clicks it and sometimes also those nearby a temporary buff of various properties.
How Shrines works
Shrines are powerful tools that can provide players with temporary beneficial effects lasting for 30 seconds, including a movement speed boost. Unlike previous games in the franchise, players in a group must click on each Shrine individually to receive the buff, which can be challenging in fast-paced combat situations. Each Shrine offers unique effects that can be advantageous in specific scenarios, so it's essential to learn how to use them to your advantage. With strategic use of Shrines, you can gain the upper hand in battles and achieve victory in the toughest of situations.
Cursed Shrines
In dungeons, some Shrines have a chance of being Cursed, requiring the player to first cleanse them in order to receive their benefits. This additional challenge involves clearing waves of monsters before you can activate the Shrine. If you succeed, you will receive a chest containing valuable loot.
Shrines in Diablo 4
Shrines can be found around the world of Diablo 4 and provide with a temporary passive boosts upon being activated. If a player is under the effect of a Shrine and activates a new one, the old effect will be removed and the new one will be applied with its timer reset.
