Old Ways is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Old Ways can be found at Tur Dulra, Scosglen. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.
The ritual scroll I seek is housed in the old druid archives beneath Tur Dulra. Unfortunately that areas has been overrun by demons folowing Astaroth's attack.

Old Ways Walkthrough
In order to begin the quest, the previous quest, A Deepening Shadow must be completed and the Stronghold, Tur Dulra, must have been cleared in order to locate Scholar Yuein for the side quest.
- Speak to Scholar Yuein
Scholar Yuein can be found in Tur Dulra. Let him know that Shob`ha sent you. The quest objectives will then update.
- Enter the Lair of the Despoiler
You are tasked to enter the Lair of the Despoiler. The entrance will be nearby this location. Your new objective will then appear
- Slay the Wildwood: 3
Slay all the Wildwood required in the lair to complete the objective. Then you will have three new objectives that will each task you with the same thing.
- Activate the Sacred Stones: 0/1
- Activate the Sacred Stones: 0/1
- Activate the Sacred Stones: 0/1
You will then have three Sacred Stones in the area to activate. They are marked with the blue quest marker on your mini-map. All three stones will be found in the same room, but there will be plenty of enemies in the area as well. Clear the space around the stones to give yourself enough time to interact with the stones. It will take a moment to activate.
- Get Yuein's Transcription from Scholar Yuein
Your blue objective marker will then be updated. You can now leave the lair to return to Scholar Yuein. Speak to him and ask him about the scroll.
- Bring Yuein's Transcription to Shob`ha
With the scroll, you can now return to Shob`ha from A Deepening Shadow. Shob`ha the Crone can still be found at Shob`ha's Perch. The end of this interaction will conclude the quest.
How to unlock Old Ways
- You can get this quest by speaking to Scholar Yuein in Tur Dulra
- A Deepening Shadow must be completed
- Tur Dulra must be unlocked
