Vyeresz is a Stronghold in Diablo 4. Strongholds are heavily fortified locations in the overworld that have become occupied by demons. Clearing out Strongholds will leave a lasting impact on the world, creating safe havens for players, transforming into a new town and unlocking new Side Quests, Dungeons, Waypoints, shortcuts and more. Vyeresz is located in the Hawezar region and is recommended for players of level 50 and above.

Diablo 4 Vyeresz Walkthrough

Vyeresz is a village in southern Hawezar that has been overtaken by cultists dedicated to a "serpent god". Within, you will encounter all manner of snake creatures and the human cultists who revere them. Fight your way to the village's center, where you will find a structure with a large, ornate door with a glyph surrounded by three serpent eyes. This is known as the Serpent's Eye Door. These eyes keep the door locked tight and you must find and destroy three Serpent's Eye Pedestals that correspond to the door to unlock it.

The first such pedestal can be found right outside the structure, surrounded by petrified cultists. Simply click on it to destroy it. Another one can be found in a large hut to the northwest of the Serpent's Eye Door, guarded by Rikrad, an elite cultist, along with his cohorts. Defeat all the opponents and destroy the Serpent's Eye. Next, make your way east of the door to find another large hut where the final Serpent's Eye can be found on the right side. Defeat Vescir the elite, as well as the lesser enemies that guard it.

Once all three Serpent's Eyes have been taken care of, return to the Serpent's Eye Door and interact with it. You must now survive for 50 seconds against a horde of Cultists while the door opens. The waves of cultists will start out slow at first, and then get progressively more numerous as the clock counts down. The petrified cultists in front of the first Serpent's Eye pedestal will slowly break free and attack you as well. Make quick work of all the opponents. They should not pose too much of a threat, as long as you consistently kill them before their numbers get too overwhelming. Do not let your guard down as when the door opens, several Nagari Longfang elites will bust through.

Fight your way through the path behind the door, and take the path southeast. Keep following it to find an Altar of Lilith that you can claim. When ready, get back to the original path and head towards the Healing Well in the center, just before the Boss encounter against Dianthus. 

 

Vyeresz Boss Fight

Dianthus is a serpent-like Nangari Longclaw type boss. As soon as he spawns, he will lunge with forward with its giant fangs, stunning players when the attack connects successfully. Dianthus will use this ability periodically throughout the fight, but it has a clear telegraph where the boss winds up slowly before slamming his head down. Another one of Dianthus' notable attacks is when a large-radius ripple forms around the boss. After a brief moment, this circle will explode, dealing huge amounts of poison damage, so be sure to dash out of the AoE as soon as you see it. 

Dianthus will sometimes release two fans of projectiles around him, but their damage is negligible. Lastly, Dianthus will sometimes raise his arms and fire several projectiles at the ground, creating blood pools that linger for a moment. These are easy enough to avoid, but they do deal lots of damage if you get caught in them. Other than these attacks, several serpent adds will also spawn throughout the fight, dealing damage from afar. Do try to cull them from time to time.

• +120 Hawezar Renown (100 for conquering the Stronghold, 20 for unlocking the Waypoint)
