Deals Physical DamageWhirlwind is a Barbarian Skill in Diablo 4. Whirlwind allows Barbarians to rapidly spin and attack surrounding enemies for damage.
Whirlwind Diablo 4 Information
Whirlwind belongs to the Barbarian class Skill Tree, and is part of the Core Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Whirlwind Effects in Diablo 4
Whirlwind can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Whirlwind will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:

Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Whirlwind
You can Enhance Whirlwind to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Whirlwind: Gain 1 Fury each time Whirlwind deals direct damage to an enemy, or 4 Fury against Elite enemies.
After enhancing Whirlwind, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Violent Whirlwind: After using Whirlwind for 2 seconds, Whirlwind deals 30%[X] increased damage until it is cancelled.
- Furious Whirlwind: While using a Slashing weapon, Whirlwind also inflicts 40% of its Base damage as Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.
