X'Fal, the Scarred Baron is a Boss in Diablo 4. X'Fal, the Scarred Baron is located at Location. Bosses are special Enemies that can be defeated to complete Quests, progress through the game and to acquire special Equipment.

- This is NOT an optional boss, and has to be fought in order to progress the story

Strategy Writeup
Once you reach the arena, interact with the decapitated priest and X'Fal will slam onto the ground with an AoE attack, so as soon as you interact with him immediately evade the area.
X'Fal has a range of attacks that he goes through. One where he charges into the air and lands with an AoE attack, another notable one is when he levitates and connect the marked circles on the ground with a pentagon that also summons smaller enemies. Players getting caught in the pentagon markings will make you vulnerable, so make sure to immediately move out the marked area while he's levitating to avoid getting caught in the vulnerable state.
Lastly, his smaller attacks consists of double slamming the ground with a shockwave after each hit, sidestepping will do to evade this attack. Another one is when he swings his mace and several projectiles that explode launch in the direction of where he swings, getting to his rear will help to avoid this attack.
Once X'Fal has been defeated, he will drop Gold and up to 2 Magic gear items.

| Double Slam: X'Fal will perform a double slam with his claymore in front of him that releases a shock wave with each hit. | Players will have to quickly sidestep this attack and attack him from his side or his rear. |
| Summoning circle: X'Fal will levitate and the circles on the ground in the arena will glow and connect to be a pentagon, getting caught in the pentagram will make you vulnerable. The circles will then summon smaller enemies for you to defeat. | Once you see him floating, you will need to get out of the marked circle on the floor so you won't get affected by the pentagon and have enough distance and time to clear the wave of summoned monsters. |
| Landing AoE: X'Fal will jump up and land within the arena. | This attack is clearly telegraphed in white, so players will need to pay attention to where it will be and dodge out of it. |
| Projectile Launching: X'Fal will swing his mace twice and several projectiles will launch in the direction of where he swings and explode at the end. | Players can sidestep it and get to his rear to attack him from there. |
