Locations in Diablo 4 covers the different places in the open world that the players can explore. Diablo 4 allows players to explore the open world of Sanctuary that is divided in 5 different Regions: Scosglen, Dry Steppes, Kehjista, Fractured Peaks, Haweza. Each region provides with a distinctive feel and a variety of Enemies.

Players can also explore and re-play a series of 150 Dungeons scattered across all regions. These Dungeons provide the player with different challenges and monsters and may have a mini-boss at the end. There are also Enemy strongholds that can be reclaimed to be converted into friendly towns and hubs that have potential to unlock Dungeons that may hold valuable rewards. With the open world, there is no linear path to follow, and players are free to explore each location as they please. Each location will also feature unique local events that players can choose to participate in for additional rewards.

Altars of Lilith

Altars of Lilith are special objects that increase your character's Attributes, granting them more power. These Altars are scattered throughout the world and can be found in different locations, some of which are very well hidden. The Altars look like they were created to conceal something, making them easy to spot in some places. However, other Altars are hidden and you might never come across them unless you explore remote areas. The locations of the Altars are the same in both Softcore and Hardcore modes, but the bonuses must be collected separately in each mode. Finding an Altar multiple times with different characters in the same mode has little value. Once you've found an Altar, it will be marked on your map, but this information is not shared across characters.

Waypoints

If you want to traverse the Fractured Peaks region more efficiently, then using waypoints is the way to go. These special points allow you to move around the area faster, making it easier to reach your destinations. Additionally, having knowledge of the most important waypoints can help you reach key events, such as World Boss battles, more quickly. In the Fractured Peaks, there are 7 waypoints scattered across the region waiting to be discovered.

Strongholds in Diablo 4

In the world of Sanctuary, Strongholds are a place where you can face various challenges and tests to prove your skills. However, these grounds have been defiled by evil forces and must be purified before they can be of any use to you. Once you successfully clear a Stronghold, you may unlock access to new vendors, Dungeons, and Waypoints, providing you with an array of new opportunities to explore and conquer.

Diablo 4 Gathering Legions

The Gathering Legions event takes place in a designated zone where players will face off against waves of monsters that become increasingly difficult as time goes on. The goal of the event is to survive as long as possible and earn rewards for doing so. Players can enter the event solo or with a group, and there are leaderboards to show who has survived the longest.

The Gathering Legions event is split into rounds, with each round consisting of multiple waves of monsters. The waves become progressively more difficult as time goes on, with new and more powerful enemies spawning in each round. Players will need to defeat all of the enemies in a wave to progress to the next one.

Home to the Druids, this verdant and rainy land is heavily forested and borders the coast. Werewolves lurk in the thick foliage and the new monster family, the Drowned, crowd the haunted coastlines, waiting to drag unsuspecting victims to a watery doom.

Dry Steppes

The unforgiving, harsh environment of the Dry Steppes is home only to the hardiest—or desperate—souls. Be warned; the denizens of this land will do anything to survive, resorting to anything from petty banditry to savage cannibalism.

Kehjistan

As we’ve seen from previous visits to Alcarnus and Caldeum, the desert shadows of Kejhistan make excellent cover for a group of rising cultists. They quietly plumb abandoned ruins, seeking power to aid the return of the ancient Prime Evils.

Fractured Peaks

Diablo 4 Dungeons Guide

Dungeons in Diablo 4 are a type of Location. They are private and you won't see other players inside unless they are on your party. Diablo IV Dungeons are randomly generated, they can be interior or exterior landscapes, may mix and match between different tilesets, as well as the Enemies within them – all seamlessly without loading screens. Diablo 4 Dungeons feature Random Events as well as special scripted Dungeon Objectives that give the dungeon cohesiveness, and increase the danger and rewards.

Diablo IV Dungeons

Dungeons have no time limit, but they get more difficult with every monster you defeat.

Special high-level dungeons can be accessed by using Nightmare Sigils, these Dungeons are called Nightmare Dungeons. These Nightmare Sigils give the dungeon special Affixes which increase their difficulty but also increase their rewards. Players can access them after completing a Priority Quest in Nightmare difficulty.

In addition to the basic randomness, D4 Dungeons can also possess Affixes. These Affixes add unique effects to the dungeon which increase both difficulty and rewards. You can see a list of all Affixes by clicking HERE.

Dungeons in Diablo 4 can spawn with Objectives, which help guide your adventure and offer greater rewards and increased danger. As you complete Dungeon Objectives, the goals you have will continue to update, and the Dungeon itself might respond by sending tougher enemies and challenges your way.

Below you can find a complete list of all Dungeons in Diablo 4. You can visit our Diablo 4 Interactive Map

Nightmare Dungeons

Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 are challenging end-game additions that enhance the difficulty and introduce new conditions to existing dungeons. These special D4 Dungeons can only be accessed once players reach World Tier III Nightmare difficulty and acquire Nightmare Sigils. These sigils can be obtained by completing Whispers of the Dead at the Tree of Whispers in Nightmare difficulty. Nightmare Dungeons offer a heightened level of challenge by introducing unique rules and conditions, making them significantly tougher to conquer. Successfully completing Nightmare Dungeons rewards players with valuable Paragon Experience, which can be used to level up Glyphs. To activate a Nightmare Dungeon, players need to obtain a Nightmare Sigil and right-click it like a consumable. This will transform the designated Dungeon's entrance into a feverish-red color, indicating the successful activation of the Nightmare Sigil and its conversion into a Nightmare Dungeon.
