Turning the Tide is a Main Quest in Diablo 4. Turning the Tide can be found at Caldeum. Main Quests are mandatory missions that players must complete in order to finish the storyline and reach the next difficulty level. Main Quests must be done sequentially and are unlocked only after completing the previous Main Quest/s.

  • Search for your allies in the Imperial Palace
  • Follow Neyrelle to the other Horadrim
  • Speak to Lorath
  • Descend to the Gates of Hell with your allies
  • Inspect Blood Petals
  • Speak with Neyrelle

 

Diablo IV Turning the Tide Walkthrough

At the end of The Walls Shake, you got separated from your allies and found another way into the Imperial Palace. Head southeast to the next quest area. You'll find Neyrelle waiting for you by some steps. Follow her back to Donan & Lorath. Make sure to unlock the Imperial Library Waypoint here before you progress any further. Speak to Lorath, who'll suggest going to the Cathedral of Hatred to find Lilith.

Head east and simply follow the path. There are no enemies on the way, but you'll get some more insights from the argument between your allies. At the very end is a pile of Lilith's Blood Petals. Interact with them to see a vision of  Lilith entering the Gates of Hell. Speak to Neyrelle about your vision, and the quest ends, rewarding you with 14,227 XP and 2,150 Gold. Essence of Hatred unlocks shortly after.
