Lightning DamageTempest (Governing Stones) is a Ranged Governing Stone in Diablo 4. Tempest (Governing Stones) charges an enemy with electrical energy dealing damage, and being able to spread to another enemy if the originally charged one is killed. Governing Stones are Season of the Construct exclusive items that can be equipped to the Seneschal Companion, providing it with a skill. There are a total of 12 Governing Stones and the Seneschal Companion can have up to 2 equipped at the same time. Governing Stones effects can be further customized by adding up to 3 Tuning Stones per skill.

Tempest (Governing Stones) can be upgraded up to Rank 10, by collecting, or crafting, duplicates of the same stones and fusing them to grant experience and level them up. Upgrading Tempest (Governing Stones) will further increase its benefits depending on its rank.

Electrically charge an enemy causing it to deal damage to themselves and 1 additional enemy each second over 5 seconds. If the enemy is killed, Tempest spreads to another enemy gaining 2 additional seconds and 20%[x] bonus damage. These bonuses are also applied if Tempest is reapplied onto the same enemy.
