Vaults in Diablo IV are similar to the existing Dungeons in the game, except this specialized Vaults feature a new family of Enemies called the Constructs. These monsters feature several elemental variants and they lurk in the dark, waiting for unsuspecting wanderers to fall trap into their mechanical clutches.

These Vaults introduces a challenging dungeon experience where adventurers navigate hazards, traps, and face hordes of Constructs to uncover treasures. Accessible through Kehjistan, there are four types of Vaults, each featuring randomly generated layouts. Additionally, the Vault of the Loom, housing Malphas, serves as the fifth unique Vault.

Once inside, players may opt to receive Zoltun's Warding, a special buff that grants access to a special chest after completing the Vault. There is a catch though as players need to make sure that they do not fall into the traps and Hazards within the Vaults. The buff diminishes stack by stack as you get caught in traps.

Vault gates can be discovered in the open world, resembling dungeons on the map. Upon entering, adventurers find themselves in a small dungeon with a gate at the end leading to a Vault.

Vault Objectives

These Constructs were originally devised by the duo Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan to keep evil at bay. However, they fell into the hands of evil Malphas, the newest boss in Diablo IV. There is little information available about this encounter, except they can be fought at the end of each Vault expedition. Doing so will reward players with a Wardwoven Chest which has a high chance of granting legendary items.

There is a Vault Objective where players will seek to Staunch the Spread of Arcane Tremors from the deserts of Kehjistan. Players will dismantle deadly traps, and destroy Lesser and Elite Constructs to earn shattered stone. There are likely various Events for players to participate in once the Season of the Construct releases. Finally, players will negate the Arcane Tremor by defeating the Vault's mighty Herald Construct, one of the strongest monster from the family.

Nightmare Vaults

At World Tier 3, players will unlock the Nightmare Vaults. These Vaults also behave similar to a Nightmare Dungeon, where Vault Sigils will drop together with Nightmare Dungeon Sigils. These Sigils can also be crafted using Pearls of Warding.

Players can acquire Pearls of Warding during Season 3 of Diablo IV.
