Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4 is one of the unique features of Diablo 4 Season 3: Season of the Construct. Players will unlock the seneschal companion during the seasonal quests, specifically during The Ennead, the third quest of the season. Players can customize the Seneschal Companion by adjusting the combinations of 12 Governing Stones and 27 Tuning Stones. In order to obtain materials required to upgrade the companion, players can complete Vaults and Arcane Tremors.

How to obtain Seneschal Stones in Diablo 4?
Players can obtain Seneschal Stones in different ways during Season of the Construct.
- While Traversing Vaults and Arcane Tremors: Players can encounter Seneschal Stones while playing these new event content.
- Completing a Vault: When players complete a Vault, they are rewarded with one random Tuning Stone.
- Completing the Season Questline: By completing the Season of the Construct Questline, players will be rewarded with Seneschal Stones.
- Open Wardwoven Chests: Found at the end of Vaults, players can receive additional Governing Stones and Tuning Stones from them.
How to Customize your Seneschal Companion?
Players can equip their Seneschal Companion with 2 Skills by choosing 2 Governing Stones to have active. You can then further customize those Skills by picking 6 Tuning Stones, 3 for each Governing Stone, to modify those Skills and create combinations of powers. This makes the Seneschal Companion highly customizable.
Players can do this by accessing their inventory and selecting the Seneschal Construct icon.

Seneschal Stones in Diablo 4
There are 2 types of Seneschal Stones, called Governing Stones and Tuning Stones.
- Governing Stones grant your Seneschal Companions a Skill. It can have 2 Governing Stones equipped at the same time.
- Tuning Stones modify the equipped skill, further customizing the Seneschal Companion's build. It can have 6 Tuning Stone equipped at the same time, 3 for each Governing Stone.
Can Seneschal Stones be Crafted in Diablo 4?
Yes. Players can craft Seneschal Stones at the Jeweler. (Called the Cofferer in the Gatehall). In order to craft them, players need to bring Shattered Stones and Iron Chunks to the Cofferer.
Do note that the crafted stones are random, but if you craft a stone that you already possess, it can be used to increase the level of your existing version of that stone.
How to level up Seneschal Stones in Diablo 4?
Both Governing Stones and Tuning Stones can be leveled up to level 10. By doing so, the potency of their attacks or effects durations will be increased, making the Seneschal Companion more effective during Combat. This can be done by collecting, or crafting, duplicates of the same stones and fusing them to grant experience and level them up.
The experience needed for each level may vary slightly, typically falling within the range of 20 to 50 experience.
All Governing Stones in Diablo 4
There are 12 Governing Stones, introduced during the Season of the Construct. 8 of them are Rare, and the remaining 8 are Legendary.
Governing Stones can also be divided into three types: Melee, Ranged or Utility. Melee and Ranged Governing Stones, provide the Seneschal Companion with a Skill that deals damage either at melee range, or from a distance, respectively. While Utility Governing Stones provide different abilities that may help the player, such as healing, a protective barrier, etc.
