The Wardrobe & Transmogs feature allows players to customize and color their character's appearance, from looking like a fearsome Barbarian or a sinister Necromancer to their own unique style. Players will essentially be able to make a piece of Equipment look like a different piece of Equipment, depending on how the player decides they want their character to look. Whether you want to intimidate your enemies with your style or show off your customized character beneath your gear, this system allows you to do both. Additionally, you can save snapshots of your favorite designs to use in different situations and combine them with your Character Customization. This user-friendly system allows you to quickly switch up your look and be ready for battle in no time.

All Wardrobe & Transmogs Information in Diablo 4

Interacting with a Wardrobe allows the person to either access a Wardrobe section or an Appearance section. The Appearance section allows the player to change the Accessory Customization that they had previously done in the Character Creation section of the game at the very start. Players will again have the option to select from fourteen makeup options, including the option to have no makeup at all, thirty-three different jewelry options, including the option to not have any earrings, twenty-four different options to choose from, including the option to not have any at all, and thirteen different colors, including the default black color, for these body markings.

The Wardrobe section allows the players to access a very user-friendly system for Transmogs for their Equipment and Items. Ensembles are used to store a player's transmog and dye preferences for all of their items. The Wardrobe provides players with one free Ensemble slot, but an extra Ensemble slot can be purchased for 2,500 Gold, with the next one costing another additional 5,000 Gold, then 10,000 Gold, and finally 20,000 Gold. A maximum of five Ensemble slots are available. In this section, players are able to see all the Transmogs they've acquired. Transmogs are mainly acquired by salvaging Equipment with The Blacksmith. You'll know that salvaging an item will yield a Transmog if it says "Unlocks new look on Salvage," when you hover over the item in your inventory, marked by a pickaxe icon. In the Salvage section of The Blacksmith menu, the item will also be marked by a larger pickaxe icon. There are also sets that can be bought from the Odds and Ends Vendor for Red Dust, as well as the micro-transactional shop. 

It's important to note that once acquired, Transmogs are available for all characters in your account. This makes it easier to grind or look for sets of Transmogs across different classes and also makes it so you don't have to buy sets from the shop for each character. Certain common Transmogs change appearance to match the class that you are attempting to put them on. Naturally, if a class is unable to equip a certain Weapon, then that specific Transmog will not be available for that class. That being said, Blizzard has confirmed that players won't have to rely on the in-game shop to get their hands on the best-looking cosmetics. Diablo IV features hundreds of Transmogs that can be unlocked through drops in-game, including numerous high-quality armor sets. Players will have the opportunity to find exceptional items of Unique and Legendary quality without ever having to visit the shop. While the shop offers a wider variety of options, the quality of the in-game rewards won't be inferior.
