The World Tier Statue in Diablo 4 is a location where players can make adjustments to their World Tiers. Each World Tier will each have its own set of modifiers that will affect the gameplay's difficulty. Selecting higher World Tiers would affect the world's multipliers and add challenges to the game, but will out more experience and Gold for each combat encounter. There are 4 available World Tiers which range from Adventurer, Veteran, Nightmare, and Torment in increasing order.
World Tier Statue Function D4
This is where players can select their difficulty. This may be changed at any time from the Character Select Screen or from the World Tier Statue in Kyovashad. Only the first two Tiers are readily available at the start of the game. Once you reach level 50 in Diablo 4, you can unlock higher difficulty ranges. Each of these difficulties requires certain milestones to be achieved and provides greater rewards as you progress.

World Tier 1
Adventurer
Recommended for:
- Players who are new to Diablo and want a light challenge
- Level 1 - 50
Enemy Details:
- Enemies are easy to defeat
World Tier 2
Veteran
Recommended for:
- Players who desire more challenge.
- Levels 1 - 50
Enemy Details:
- Enemies are more challenging.
- Monsters give 20% more experience.
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold.
World Tier 3
Nightmare Difficulty
Unlocked by completing the Campaign and Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon in Kyovashad, World Tier: 2 Veteran.
Recommended for:
- Levels 50-70
New:
- Sacred items and Unique items can drop
- Nightmare Sigils can drop that unseal Nightmare Dungeons
- Helltides can appear across Sanctuary
- Champion monsters with damage resistance auras can appear
Enemy Details:
- Enemies are more formidable
- Monster give 100% increased Experience
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold
- Monsters overcome 20% Resistance
World Tier 4
Torment Difficulty
Unlocked by completing the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon. in northeastern Dry Steppes, World Tier 3: Nightmare.
Recommended For:
- Levels 70+
New:
- Ancestral items and new Unique items can drop
Enemy Details:
- Enemies are more fearsome
- Monsters give 200% increased Experience
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold
- Monster overcome 40% Resistance
