Cathedral of Light is a Dungeon in Diablo 4. Cathedral of Light can be found at the end of World Tier II, and is a level 50 Capstone Dungeon that, once completed, allows players to unlock World Tier III. Cathedral of Light can be found at Fractured Peaks. Capstone Dungeons are special and much larger instances in which players have to complete objectives in order to be able to unlock the following difficulty level.

Diablo IV Cathedral of Light Dungeon can be found at:

  • Desolate Highlands in Fractured Peaks [Map Link]
  • Note that this Capstone Dungeon will unlock once players reach 45+ Level, and have completed the Main Story.

Upon successfully completing Diablo IV Cathedral of Light Dungeon, you will be rewarded with the following Legendary Aspect

  • Unlocks World Tier III

 

How to complete Cathedral of Light in Diablo 4

Cathedral of Light can be completed by doing:

  • Collect Animus from Revenant Knight
  • Deposit the Animus in the Urn
  • Travel to the High Council Court
  • Defeat the High Council
  • Interact with the teleporter to move to the next area of the dungeon
  • Slay all enemies in the Reliquary of Erudition
  • Travel to the Curator's Chamber
  • Defeat the Curator

Players need to complete Cathedral of Light  for the following Quests:

  • World Tier 3: Nightmare

 

Diablo 4 Cathedral of Light Walkthrough

Upon entering the dungeon, you'll find yourself within the Hallowed Cloister. Your first objective is to collect Animus from Revenant Knights. These Revenant Knights are elite enemies you'll need to kill in order to collect Animus, and they will be marked with the skull icon on your mini-map. Once you've collected enough Animus, deposit them to the Animus Urn to unlock the door leading to the next area. Go through the door and make your way to the High Council Court. Before you enter the room, you will see a Healing Well beside the entrance, you can recover HP if needed especially if you encountered multiple enemies along the way.

Once you enter the room, you'll face off against one of the dungeon bosses, the High Council. The High Council consists of four enemies, the Sacred Physician, the Lord Commander, the Grand Inquisitor, and the Devoted Champion. It's best to deal with the Sacred Physician first as he has the ability to resurrect his fallen companions. Once you've successfully killed the High Council, interact with the teleporter ahead to move on to the next area of the dungeon.

Once you've been transported to the next area, your next objective is to slay all enemies within the Reliquary of Erudition. All enemies will be marked with a red dot on your mini-map so pay attention to it so you won't miss any of them. Expect traps, elite monsters, and regular monsters as you try to complete this objective. Once you've slain all enemies within the area, make your way to the Curator's Chamber. Once you enter the room, you'll face off against the final boss of the dungeon, The Curator. The Curator has a variety of attacks you need to look out for. He starts off by slamming his Scythe on the ground, this will knock you back. You can dish out your attacks after this before he starts using his other abilities. He can also swipe his Scythe in an arc in front of him so you wouldn't want to be in front of him when this happens. The Curator is fairly slow thanks to some of his moves, but its strategy is to keep you distracted with the amount of moves it has. It can also shoot out Spectral Skulls that will follow you around, you will need to dodge this projectile at the last second to avoid this. The Curator can also summon Bone Walls to restrict your movements and trap you in an area, after some time these bone walls will explode and deal damage. He can also summon Skeletal Minions in the area to aid him in battle. Once you've successfully slain the Curator, the dungeon is completed.

  • Dungeons are instanced domains that offer a sanctuary for brave adventurers. They are thematically related to the region in which they are found, but their layout is randomized. Each Dungeon has their own Boss as well as a related Legendary Aspect that they reward, once completed. Players are also awarded 30 Renown points by completing a dungeon.
