Cosmetics in Diablo 4 are all the wearables that players can equip that do not provide additional effects aside from appearance. A Cosmetic can be equipped with any Equipment, Armor, Items, and other variants such as a Back Trophy. Salvaging Equipment to Get Cosmetics in Diablo 4
Players can easily obtain salvaged materials by using various Blacksmiths situated in towns across Sanctuary. Salvaging unwanted items is effortless with a button that allows players to salvage all items except for Uniques, Legendaries, or altered items. Blizzard has also added the option for players to mark items as Junk, making it easy to salvage any items without restrictions.
Salvaging gear and nightmare sigils yield valuable crafting materials used in various recipes, such as Legendary item upgrades, rerolling Affixes on items, and more.
When salvaging items, their existing transmog will be added to the players' lists. Moreover, if gems are socketed into items, they will be added to players' inventory after salvaging said items. The item will have the tag "Unlocks new look on salvage" if you don't have the appearance unlocked yet. You can store this look on your account permanently by simply visiting the Blacksmith and salvaging the item.
Where to Find Cosmetics in Diablo 4
In Diablo 4, you'll accumulate a variety of Armor and Weapons with different stats and abilities. However, you may find that some of the items you come across have a more appealing appearance than others. Fortunately, there's a solution for those who care more about looking cool than maximizing their stats.
By salvaging gear, you can permanently store its appearance in your Wardrobe. This allows you to use it to transmog your new gear so that it has the same appearance. Keep in mind, that changing the appearance of your gear only changes the physical appearance of your equipment and does not affect its stats or powers. Can Cosmetics Affect Stats in Diablo 4
Cosmetics in Diablo 4 do not affect the player's stats. It provides customization and allows the players to change the look of their character without sacrificing their stats. Players can equip any cosmetic skins on their Equipment, Weapons, and other Items, while maintaining their Equipment values.
Players can obtain these cosmetics by purchasing from Diablo 4 Shop or by salvaging items through Blacksmiths in any town. Players will be able to access the available cosmetics for their characters by going to the Wardrobe in any of the towns. Players will find these inside the Inn, usually near the Chest where players keep their stored items.

The Midwinter Blight introduces new Quests and Activities that ring in the winter along with a storm that has taken over Fractured Peaks. This event is the first holiday event introduced in Diablo 4. It begins in Kyovashad where players will encounter a Bard named Gillian around the Hibernal Square who warns of the incoming storm. During this period, players can claim all new Cosmetics available to all Diablo 4 players.
