The Smothered Ache is a Seasonal Quest in Diablo 4. The Smothered Ache is a part of the Season of the Construct and can be found at Fractured Peaks and has the player traveling to Fractured Peaks to explore the Vault of Stone. Seasonal Quests can be categorized as Priority Quests, Side Quests, or Main Quests, but are only available if players wish to partake in the available Season. Quests in the game provides important side content missions that unlock new content related to the season, unique rewards and can lead to more Quests.

Objectives
- Find a Way into the Vault of Stone in Fractured Peaks
- Clear the Entrance to the Vault of Stone
- Search the Vault of Stone for the Stoneworks
- Destroy the Corrupted Conduits
- Progress through the Stoneworks
- Open the Door
- Enter the Quarry
- Survive the Quarry for 30 seconds.
- Retrieve the Runecarving Tools.
- Return the Runecarving Tools to Ayuzhan
The Smothered Ache Walkthrough Diablo 4
Talk to Ayuzhan to receive directions, he will point you to the Vault of Stone in Fractured Peaks.
Open your map, and head to the waypoint nearest to the highlighted area.
Once you reach the area, defeat the monsters to clear the way. Access the vault.
Push forward towards the Vault until you reach the Corrupted Conduits, destroy them alongside all the enemies in the area.
As you progress through the Stoneworks, you will find a locked door. You will have to find a keystone in order to keep advancing.
Continue exploring the dungeon, and you will eventually find it, use the lever and kill the constructs that spawn.
Enter the quarry, and be ready to survive for 30 seconds the onslaught of enemies and traps.
Continue after the fight, and grab the Runecarving Tools. They can be found on the other side of the wall to the top right of the room.
Head back to Ayuzhan at Gatehall to return the tools and finish the quest.
