Where to get Vault Sigils?

With the introduction of the Season of the Construct a new kind of sigil is now available inside the game, the Vault Sigil. Unlike regular Nightmare Sigils this artifact replaces the regular dungeon with a Nightmare Vault. To get one of these items you will need to have played the game up until you obtain the Seneschal Construct, when you reach this point you can visit The Occultist to turn at least one Pearl of Warding into a Vault Sigil. Be sure to bring many pearls, as they are consumed when entering the dungeon.

Where to get Nightmare Sigils?

Nightmare Sigils start dropping from enemies or chests, once you reach World Tier III, so in order to play Nightmare Dungeons, players have to complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon.

Also, by completing a Nightmare Dungeon of any tier, you will always get a Nightmare Sigil of the next tier at the end.

For example, if you are playing a Tier 22 Nightmare Dungeon, and manage to complete it, at the end, among the loot you will find a Nightmare Sigil that is Tier 23.

You can climb the level of the Sigils that way by completing one and heading to the next almost immediately if you feel so.

How do I know which Dungeon becomes a Nightmare Dungeon when using a Nightmare Sigil?

You can always know which dungeon will be affected by the sigil by checking on the name of the Nightmare Sigil. You can also read it in the middle of the text. In the case of the picture of the right, the Dungeon affected is Abandoned Mineworks. It also specifies that it is located in the region of Kehjistan.

What Do Tiers in Nightmare Sigils Mean?

Tiers in Nightmare Sigils indicate the difficulty level of the enabled Nightmare Dungeon. The higher the Tier the more powerful Monsters will be, as well as having more difficult Affixes to deal with.

Once I use a Nightmare Sigil, does its related dungeon stay as a Nightmare Dungeon forever?

No. Nightmare Sigils once consumed transform the related Dungeon into a Nightmare Dungeon. This changes its appearance both in the map, and as you approach the entrance as well. A feverish-red aura surrounds the entrance to the newly-created Nightmare Dungeon. However, if you use another Nightmare Sigil, this will "overwrite" your previous one and create a new Nightmare Dungeon, thus returning the first one to its former common Dungeon state.

The other way to "lose" a Nightmare Dungeon if by reaching the limit of revives allowed and dying one more time. Players can't die infinite times in Nightmare Dungeons like they can in their common-counterparts. If players die, using the example picture on the right which allows 4 revives, 5 times. The Nightmare Dungeon disappears and is not completed.

Can Nightmare Sigils be Crafted?

Yes, players can craft Nightmare Sigils at The Occultist after completing the Priority Quest called Sigil Crafting. To trigger the Priority Quest players have to clear a Tier 3 Nightmare Dungeon

Can I Salvage Nightmare Sigils?

Nightmare Sigils can be salvaged, like many of the other types of items in Diablo 4. Players have to do so at the Occultist. They will receive Sigil Powder along with other possible crafting materials
