Rite of Passage is a Main Quest in Diablo 4. Rite of Passage can be found at Kyovashad. Main Quests are mandatory missions that players must complete in order to finish the storyline and reach the next difficulty level. Main Quests must be done sequentially and are unlocked only after completing the previous Main Quest/s.

 

Diablo 4 Rite of Passage Objectives

The hermit, a man named Lorath Nahr, claims the demon I saw in the chapel was none other than Lilith, the creator of Sanctuary! He has agreed to meet with the Cathedral of Lightas requested, and so we head for Kyovashad.

  • Accompany Lorath to Kyovashad
  • Speak with Lorath

My entry into Kyovashad was prevented by a guardsman who demanded I participate in a cleansing ritual first. Lorath hasgone ahead, but I'm left with no choice but to complete the ritual.

Diablo IV Rite of Passage Walkthrough

Head north along the path to Kyovashad by using the map located in the top right corner. While on your journey, you will come across many Fallen, including a Fallen Shaman and a Fallen Overseer. When you arrive at the city, a Guard in the street will ask you to stop before entering. At this point, speak with Lorath.

Lorath will explain that you must perform a cleansing ritual to gain entry to Kyovashad. Fortunately for him, he gets to skip it, so you will have to do it alone. First, you need to pick up the Holy Cedar Tablets from the shrine and inscribe it with the sin that troubles you the most. You can choose between Fear, Anger, Pride, Greed, or nothing at all.

Then, throw it into the Brazier located right next to it. Once you have completed this, return to the Guard and inform him that you have finished the ritual. You can now go meet up with Lorath again.
