Strongholds in Diablo 4 refer to heavily fortified Locations that have become occupied by demons, becoming bastions of pure evil. Strongholds are much like Dungeons, with their own objectives, sets of Enemies and Bosses to defeat, as well as rewards to obtain. Unlike dungeons, however, Strongholds are all found in the overworld, and liberating them from demon control has a lasting impact on the world, turning them into safe havens for players and NPCs alike. The effects of conquering a stronghold will vary between each one. In some cases, they turn into player-friendly settlements and become new hubs for Side Quests, complete with vendors and other provisions, while in other cases, they unlock shortcuts and pathways throughout the regions they are located in.

Strongholds can be completed solo or in a party. Each one is also instanced and players will not be able to see other players while in a Stronghold, unless they are in the same party. Once a stronghold is conquered, however, players will be able to see other players who have also conquered the stronghold. Each Stronghold completed rewards players with Renown for their respective region.

    • Is anyone from Fextra updating these. Kor Dragan is supposed to be the biggest solo level farm for Season One. I think I only find the barracks. Which I believe are a different thing? I am paying your bills.
