Bone Prison is a Necromancer Skill in Diablo 4. Bone Prison allows Necromancers to imprison a target, rendering immobile until the prison is breaking.
NOTE: Stats updated as of Patch 1.0.3, released June 27th.
Bone Prison Diablo 4 Information
Bone Prison belongs to the Necromancer class Skill Tree, and is part of the Macabre Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Bone Prison Effects in Diablo 4
Bone Prison can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Bone Prison will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:

Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Bone Prison
You can Enhance Bone Prison to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Bone Prison: If an enemy is trapped by Bone Prison, gain 15 Essence, plus an additional 5 per enemy trapped.
After enhancing Bone Prison, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Dreadful Bone Prison: Fortify for 8% Base Life for each enemy trapped by Bone Prison.
- Ghastly Bone Prison: Enemies inside of Bone Prison are Vulnerable.
Enhancements and Upgrades are represented by diamond shaped icons in the Skill Tree menu
