Ground Stomp is a Barbarian Skill in Diablo 4. Ground Stomp allows Barbarians to smash the ground, dealing damage and stunning surrounding enemies.
Ground Stomp Diablo 4 Information
Ground Stomp belongs to the Barbarian class Skill Tree, and is part of the Defensive Cluster.
Active Skills can be ranked up to Rank 5. Players can also Enhance and then Upgrade the skill to add new features to its effects.
Active Skills are represented by big square icons in the Skill Tree menu.
Ground Stomp Effects in Diablo 4
Ground Stomp can be upgraded up to Rank 5, by spending more skill points. Upgrading Ground Stomp will further increase its benefits depending on its rank:
Rank 1:
- Damage X [10%]
- Cooldown 16 seconds
Rank 2:
- Damage X [10%]
- Cooldown 15.2 seconds
Rank 3:
- Damage X [11%]
- Cooldown 14.4 seconds
Rank 4:
- Damage X [12%]
- Cooldown 13.76 seconds
Rank 5:
- Damage X [13%]
- Cooldown 13.12 seconds
Diablo 4 Enhance & Upgrade for Ground Stomp
You can Enhance Ground Stomp to add the following effects:
- Enhanced Ground Stomp: Increase Ground Stomp’s duration by 1 second.
After enhancing Ground Stomp, you may also Upgrade it, to get the following effects depending on the upgrade you selected. You may only choose 1 of these:
- Tactical Ground Stomp: Ground Stomp generates 25 Fury.
- Strategic Ground Stomp: Reduce the Cooldown of your Ultimate Skill by 1 second for each enemy damaged by Ground Stomp.
Enhancements and Upgrades are represented by diamond shaped icons in the Skill Tree menu

I'd argue this is much more versatile than Kick for anyone deciding between these two skills. Not only does Ground Stomp stun enemies where they stand, but if you find some equipment that overclocks the max skill points into the skill, the damage can be considerable to healthy and/or injured enemies.
With Kick, you won't always be in a position where enemies are going to be knocked back into terrain either, so it's not as consistent of a skill and may not always get optimal damage
