Den Mother is a Boss in Diablo 4. Den Mother is located at Light's Watch, and Aldurwood. Den Mother is a werewolf that's larger than all the others, that seems to have additional demonic power, and large claws to go with it. Bosses are special Enemies that can be defeated to complete Quests, progress through the game, and to acquire special Equipment. However, there are Bosses not-related to the main quests and can be found as a side activity or even roaming the world.

Den Mother's initial claw swipes are nothing to feat at all because of how slow they are. Tankier or more evasive characters can take some hits while dishing some damage back. Otherwise, promptly move out of the way of the attack and then counterattack. In general, when you see her swing her arm up, be prepared to move out of the way. Be mindful of the blood pools because touching them deals a lot of damage.
When you get her health long enough, she'll begin to mix up her attacks. For example, she can disappear, and instead of reappearing with a Strong Swipe with a longer wind-up, she'll instead do a Blood Pool Pound. Keep watching her arm and be prepared to move whenever she swings it up for an attack. Take out any spawns quickly in order to keep distractions to a minimum. Attacks that hit multiple enemies are recommended when she calls her pack.
Once Den Mother has been defeated, she will drop Gold and up to 1-2 Rare gear items, and 1-2 Magic gear items.
