Diablo 4 How to Summon Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint

To summon Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint, players will need two or five Living Steel that will be consumed. Summoning him at World Tier 3 will take 2 Living Steel, while you'll need 5 Living Steel to summon him at World Tier 4. Living Steel can be picked up by opening Tortured Gift of Living Steel chests that drop from completing Helltide events. You'll need Aberrant Cinders to open these chests, so you'll have to generally participate in Helltides to acquire enough Living Steel. When you're ready, you can head into the Hall of the Penitent and find the Light-Touched Altar, onto which you'll consume the appropriate amount of Living Steel to summon Grigoire. Consider bringing Equipment, Skills, or consumables that amp up your resistance to lightning damage.

Diablo 4 Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint Strategy Writeup

As you enter the battlefield, Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint himself will not be there yet and instead enter as he electrifies the tiles that make up the field. They'll be highlighted with the red hue of his lightning so look for the tiles that are safe and go to them as he enters. When he does, you can lay on the onslaught to get some damage in. When he swings his large mace forward in front of him and into the ground, he'll call down some lightning strikes, which will be telegraphed quickly by circular red hues so do your best to dodge them. As you do, quickly keep yourself close to him so you don't let up on dealing damage. He'll eventually start swinging his mace toward you, which will be largely telegraphed by a wind-up. Don't dodge this until the last second, as he quickly swings in your direction regardless of where he's facing when he winds up. This makes it almost impossible to dodge the balls of lightning he shoots out as he swings, but you'll have a small window if you time your dodge right. If some of the balls inevitably hit you, you might want to activate any damage mitigation you might have. From time to time he'll mix it up and instead shoot the lightning balls in all directions after he swings toward you, so you might be better off keeping away if you're a melee character, to give yourself more time to dodge most of the lightning balls.

After you take out the first section of his Life, he'll start propping up some red pillars across the battlefield. These pillars are lightning rods through which he'll then have lightning currents course to connect them together. Hitting the currents will damage you, thereby limiting your movement. These currents will shift throughout the fight so be mindful of where they are as you try to deal some damage, especially since these currents will be active throughout the fight as he does his other attacks.

Doubling up on the pressure, he'll also start summoning some Knight Penitents to overwhelm you and limit your movements further. Skills that hit multiple Enemies at a time will be your bread and butter here so you don't drop your damage output. The Knight Penitents can be dealt with after a few hits so don't panic and just keep being mindful of the electric currents, and Grigoire himself. Eventually, he'll teleport out of the battlefield and re-enact his entrance by electrifying most of the tiles that make up the battlefield, all while the electric currents are still also up. You'll have a short window to look for the tiles that are safe before you get hit with a huge amount of damage. Keep moving and keep on the damage output and he'll eventually go down. Don't worry if you fail, as you won't have to consume more materials to give it another go.
