Diablo 4 Orbei Monastery Halls Walkthrough

Upon entering the dungeon, begin searching for the Abbot. Unfortunately, you will encounter several deceased monks in the Halls of the Monastery. However, the first Slain Monk you come across holds a Message From the Abbot, which you should listen to before proceeding. While exploring the Outer Cloister, you will notice a yellow mark on your mini-map. This indicates a locked door that requires a Crusader Skull to open. Luckily, the skull is nearby and held by Sister Martina, who was attacked. Find her in a room behind your current location, retrieve the Crusader Skull from her body, and return to the door to place it on the pedestal.

Once the door unlocks, you can proceed inside. Be prepared to face numerous Phantoms during your journey through this area. Eventually, you will encounter a living Monk in a room. Speak to him and ask about the Abbot's whereabouts. He reveals that the Abbot opened the door for the Pale Man and took forbidden knowledge. Before he can provide more information, Vengeful Phantoms appear, requiring you to defeat them. After dealing with them, continue your search for the Abbot.

You will find the Abbot concealed behind a large locked door leading to the Archive, with a Healing Well nearby. Interact with the door to learn how to unlock it. The writings on the door indicate that you need to find three Secret Litanies to gain access to the Inner Cloister beyond. Fortunately, the locations of these litanies will be marked on your map.

Once you have obtained the Secret Litanies, return to the Archive door and recite them aloud. This will unlock the door, granting you entry to the Archive. Inside, you will discover the Archive in flames, with the Abbot seated at its center. Engage in conversation with him and learn that he allowed Elias to enter and obtained vital information to summon a Lesser Evil. Moreover, he sacrificed all the Monastery's Scholars in the process.

As the Abbot begs for forgiveness, the Vengeful Spirits combine to form the Eidolon of Orbei. During the boss fight, the Eidolon of Orbei will release a small red vortex as its initial attack. Avoid this vortex to prevent damage to your health and vision.

Additionally, the Eidolon will teleport and summon Bone Walls to trap you in the red vortexes. Watch out for these Walls, especially when cornered, and switch between attacking the boss and destroying the Walls to avoid being trapped. Sometimes, the Eidolon will create a Wall around itself that you need to break down before reaching it.

As the battle progresses, the Eidolon will continue its usual attacks but will summon vortexes and Bone Walls more frequently. Stay alert, dodge effectively, and steadily reduce its health. After defeating the Eidolon, you can collect various items, including the important Gospel of the Mother. Interacting with this item provides crucial information about Elias and his goals. This victory also marks the end of the dungeon.
