Diablo 4 Foul Undercrypts Walkthrough
Entombed Hatred Foul Undercrypts
After Donan unlocks the entrance to the Foul Undercrypts, you will enter the crypt and face a challenging battle against the ancient paladin and his guards. The Ancient Paladin is a tough opponent, but you can defeat him by using skills and attacks that affect a wide area. Once you have triumphed over the enemies, approach the door that is protected by a ward and destroy it. Then, follow Donan as he guides you to the Black Tomb of Sankekur and engage in a conversation with him. During this moment, while Donan focuses on attuning the soulstone, it becomes your duty to protect him from the Manifestation of Hate that appears in front of him. This formidable enemy can teleport and summon more enemies to fight against you. Defeat all the foes that arise, and then have another conversation with Donan. This signifies the successful completion of the quest, and you should now continue your journey to Wejinhani to find Donan.
On the Precipice Foul Undercrypts
Follow your allies into the Black Tomb of Sankekur and get ready for a battle. Talk to Donan when you're prepared. During the ritual performed by Donan, Lorath, and Neyrelle, Taissa sees Elias entering the tomb. Descend the steps with Taissa to confront him. Remember to get more Health Potions from the Healing Well if you need them. When you reach Elias, Taissa will mention his debt to the Tree of Whispers, and then the boss fight against Elias, Fallen Horadrim, begins. Elias mostly uses the same moves as before in Piercing the Veil. As his health decreases, he calls more minions to his side. Pay attention to two specific moves. First, he summons red homing projectiles when he lifts his right arm. If these projectiles are causing significant damage, try moving around the arena to make it harder for them to hit you. The second move to watch out for is when he summons waves of blood at a quarter of his health. Being hit by this makes you vulnerable and increases the damage from the boss. Imagine these blood waves as pizza slices around Elias. Indicators will show where the slices will hit before the waves come out. Stand in the spaces between the slices to avoid this attack. When Elias is almost defeated, he becomes enraged and escapes upon realizing that you have discovered his immortality secret. The cutscene at the end marks the completion of the dungeon, granting you XP and Gold as a reward.
