Unearthed Regrets is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Unearthed Regrets can be found in the Immurement of Thorns, at The Writhing Mire, in Hawezar. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.

Unearthed Regrets Walkthrough
Begin the Quest by speaking to Kres in the Immurement of Thorns, on the northeastern edge of The Writhing Mire. Speak to Kres and ask, "Did the salve jog your memory?." It seems he has one last favor to ask, with regard to a grave sin he committed in the past. This will activate the Quest and highlight your next objective location which will be southeast of your location. The area will be indicated by a blue circle, leading to the southeast area of The Writhing Mire. Make sure you activate the Waypoint in the east, in the Tree of Whispers before you leave.
- Find the shallow grave
The grave should be in the patch of traversable land to the right of the blue circle.
- Acquire the Exsanguinated Remains
Interact with the Shallow Grave to extract the Exsanguinated Remains. After you do, some Enemies will appear from the ground.
- Burn the Exsanguinated Remains
The Rotting Corpsefiends and the Putrid Remains shouldn't be too hard to dispatch. When you're done, you'll have to go to the pyres south of Backwater to burn the remains. Teleport to the Backwater Waypoint if you've activated it already. Otherwise, place an objective marker on your map for the fastest path there. Interact with the pyre to burn the remains.
- Return to Kres
Teleport to the Waypoint in the Tree of Whispers and head back to Kres in the northwest. Talk to him and say, "I burned the remains on the pyre in Backwater." It seems there were others that he killed in his desperate efforts to alleviate his pain. This will complete the quest.
