More than Meets the Eye is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. More than Meets the Eye can be found at The Accursed Wastes in the Chambatar Ridge in Dry Steppes. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.
There's one more relic to find and, judging by the last two, I doubt this will be a walk in the park.

More than Meets the Eye Walkthrough
Begin the Quest by speaking to the curio collector, Rakhaan in The Accursed Wastes. Ask him, "Where is the final relic?" It seems this time he wants to take matters into his own hands. This will activate the Quest and highlight your next objective location which will be just to the east of your current location, leading to the Foothills of Saraan, still in The Accursed Wastes. Place an objective marker on your map if you need help finding the easiest path to the location.
- Meet with Rahkaan at the Foothills of Saraan
Talk to Rahkaan and tell him, "I am ready." This will prompt you to enter the Saraan Caldera Dungeon, just to the east. You can find the Dungeon on our Interactive Map here: [Diablo 4 Map Link].
- Find and disable the relic in Saraan Caldera
There'll varying types of burning Undead here that'll keep you company. As usual, abilities that hit multiple Enemies at once will be your bread and butter for keeping them at bay while you look for the relic. Eventually, you'll find a small unusual mechanism and Rahkaan will tell you how it works.
- Redirect the light beams
Move forward along the path to find a small cavern with five more identical mechanisms. The light from the first mechanism will flow to these ones, and you'll have to make a star figure with the light beams. To do so, move the southeastern mechanism first, and then the southwestern one to the left of it.
- Return to Rahkaan
After you've made your star, head back to the first mechanism and talk to Rahkaan. You might initially find someone or something else waiting there instead.
- Speak to Demon Rahkaan
Interact with the demon and say, "You're a demon!" He explains that he isn't hostile and he really wants to contain the relic's malevolent powers.
- Activate the light to dispel the illusionary wall
Interact with the first mechanism, the Ancient Light Device, to turn it toward the wall and reveal a path behind it.
- Enter the Relic Chamber
Traverse the path, past some more burning Undead, until you find the Relic Chamber. You'll find Overseer Kafan who'll send his minions after you.
- Dispel the illusionary veil to expose Overseer Kafan
You'll see on your screen that Kafan can barely be seen. Activate the four Ancient Light Brazier's around the room to make him tangible. Note that each time you do, he'll summon more of his minions to come after you. Kill all of the minions to initiate his tangibility.
- Defeat Overseer Kafan
Overseer Kafan will be a large Barbarian human-type Boss wielding an axe. He'll do some swings with an axe as his basic attack. In the early part of the fight, save a dodge for an attack where he kicks you away before doing a jump attack toward your direction. Dodge when jumps to get behind him, as you'll be able to land a number of hits while he attacks the air after landing. After one segment of his life is down, he'll start shouting before slamming the ground in front of him with his axe, causing a shockwave in the direction he hits. That's it for his move pool, but at lower Life, he'll start combining his attacks and using them more frequently.
- Speak to Rahkaan
Rahkaan will walk inside the chamber. Talk to him and ask, "Was that an overseer?" He'll reveal that he was one of Kafan's victims, but was saved by the demon who now lives inside him. This will complete the quest.
