Final Straw Walkthrough
Begin the Quest by speaking to Basef the Merchant in the Pale Sands, northwest of the Southern Expanse. Tell him, "It's too dangerous to be out there alone." It seems he's supposed to traveling with someone, or something, else. This will activate the Quest and highlight your next objective which will be just beside him.
- Take a Bag of Oats from the basket
Interact with the Bag of Oats to pick it up. The next objective will be just to the northwest, indicated by a blue circle, still within the Pale Sands.
- Find Neema
You should find Neema tied to a thicket in the central area of the blue circle, closer to the northeast.
- Untie Neema from the thicket
However she got tied here, you'll have to untie her. You might have to deal with Enemies that might interrupt you.
- Speak with Neema
You'll ask to follow her but she'll ignore you at first.
- Sprinkle Oats on the ground to lure Neema
To the east will be a spot where you can drop some oats to make her move. Enemies might interrupt you again.
- Escort Neema
As expected, she'll follow the oats.
- Sprinkle Oats on the ground to lure Neema
To the south will be another spot where you can drop some oats to make her move. Enemies might interrupt you yet again.
- Escort Neema
She'll follow yet again.
- Sprinkle Oats on the ground to lure Neema
Further to the southeast will be the last spot where you can drop some oats to make her move.
- Escort Neema
This time, Neema will stop short of the oats you just placed. There is a bug here where the Enemies might appear too early, or they might disrupt you while placing the oats. Both situations will lock you out of completing the Quest as the objective disappears from the map. Some players have fixed it by leaving and entering the area again. This didn't work for some which unfortunately means you'll have to abandon the Quest and start over.
- Check on Neema
Approach Neema to ask the camel what her problem is.
- Slay the scorpions attacking Neema
Enemies will ambush you from the ground, led by an Elite Scorpion with a single random Affix. Mind your Life and make short work of them.
- Speak with Neema
Approach the camel again to show that it's safe now.
- Escort Neema
This time, she'll finally run straight to Basef to the east.
- Speak with Basef
Head to Basef the Merchant and tell him, "I found your camel. She was trapped in a thicket." He'll express his utmost gratitude. This will complete the quest.

- Bug: There is a known bug during the third time that you place oats to lure Neema. Enemies might appear too early, or they might disrupt you while placing the oats. Both situations will lock you out of completing the Quest as the objective disappears from the map. Some players have fixed it by leaving and entering the area again. This didn't work for some which unfortunately means you'll have to abandon the Quest and start over.
