Hubris Smiles Back is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Hubris Smiles Back can be found at The Grinning One at the Khargai Crags in Dry Steppes. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.

Hubris Smiles Back Walkthrough
After completing the Side Quest Augury of Bones, this Quest will immediately be activated and your objective will be highlighted accordingly. This should take you to The Grinning One at the Khargai Crags.
- Speak with Ogai near The Grinning One
You won't have to talk in this one, as Ogai will give a short monologue of what he saw while sniffing the Bone Dust in the previous quest. Your next objective will take you to the Grinning Labyrinth. You can find Grinning Labyrinth on our Interactive Map here: [Diablo 4 Map Link]
- Retrieve Baneful Oblations from fallen within the Grinning Labyrinth: 0/5
Grinning Labyrinth will be full of Fallen Enemies. Keep killing them until you obtain five Baneful Oblations from their drops.
- Return to Ogai
You can either clear the Dungeon as well if you'd like to or just exit out. Either way, head back to Ogai. Tell him "I retrieved the offerings." and initiate your next objective.

Place the offerings on the Ritual Stones: 0/5 The objective markers can be confusing 'cause you're so close to them on the map, but simly interact with the five orange stones embedded on the ground. When you're done, interact with Ogai again.
- Speak with Ogai
Ogai's hubris will cause things to take a turn for the worse as the voice he hears will ask him for a steep price for his deity's so-called gifts. This will complete the quest.
