Closing the Book is a Side Quest in Diablo 4. Closing the Book can be found in Wejinhani, at the Dismal Foothills in Hawezar. Side Quests are optional missions that players can complete in order to obtain different rewards. Players are usually rewarded XP, and Gold depending on your level. Completing Side Quests in a specific region will also add to the Region Renown. Side Quests can be acquired by encountering various events or interacting with different NPCs.

Closing the Book Walkthrough
Begin the Quest by speaking to a village Elder Akos in Wejinhani. Ask him, "What happened?" It seems some Zakarum missionaries are causing some unrest. This will activate the Quest and highlight your next objective location which will be far northeast of your location. The area will be indicated by a blue circle, leading to Eriman's Pyre. If you haven't already, make sure you activate the Waypoint here in Wejinhani before you leave.
- Go to Eriman's Pyre with Elder Akos
Eriman's Pyre should have been a Stronghold you'd unlocked to start this Quest. You can find the Stronghold on our Interactive Map here: [Diablo 4 Map Link]. You'll get to the elder's old village, burned down by Zakarum zealots.
- Speak with Elder Akos
Speak with the elder and he'll leave you to collect the ledger's pages, which you can find within the area indicated by the blue circle on your map.

In numerical order, the first one should be in the northeast area of the blue circle. You'll have to go down a short cliff to get to it. The ledgers will be called Smoldering Tomes which you can interact with. They will be guarded by some Enemies but should be nothing to be afraid of. Climb back up and then head to the southeast this time. In a first landing connecting to the middle part of the area, the Smoldering Tomes should be under some Zakarum symbols. Head back to the central area and then head to the southwest path this time. Before the main path splits, there should be a short path heading up with Smoldering Tomes at the end. Grab it and head back to the central area again. Head to the northwest area this time, and take the east path. The Smoldering Tomes will just be there at the point where the western path meets yours.
- Speak with Elder Akos
With all the pages in your possession, teleport back to the Wejinhani Waypoint. Speak to the elder and say, "I found the inquisitor's ledger." This will complete the quest.
